What Is the Pure Complexion Clearing Facial?

This facial is part of the CLINICARE professional range and is designed for blemish-prone, combination and oily skins. The focus is on:

  • gently removing excess oil and surface build-up

  • unclogging and refining the appearance of pores

  • calming visible redness and discomfort

  • supporting the skin’s natural balance rather than stripping it

We use CLINICARE products formulated with clarifying ingredients, hydrating components and soothing actives so the skin feels fresher and more comfortable – not tight or over-treated.

Key benefits:

  • A clearer, more even-looking complexion
  • Pores that appear more refined
  • Reduced surface congestion and bumpy texture
  • Calmer-looking skin with less visible redness
  • A cleaner, fresher feel without harshness

RESULTS & DOWNTIME

Skin usually feels cleaner and smoother, with less obvious shine and a more refined appearance to the pores. There may be slight pinkness following exfoliation or extractions, which typically settles shortly after.
In the days after treatment, many clients notice that congestion feels reduced and the surface of the skin looks more even and less bumpy.
With regular facials and a suitable homecare routine, the appearance of congestion and breakouts can often be improved and better managed over time.

Any recommended homecare will always be simple and realistic so you can stick to it.

What to Expect During Your Facial

Step 1 – Consultation & Skin Assessment
We start with a chat about your skin history, current routine, lifestyle and any medical considerations. Your skin is examined so we can understand where congestion is forming and how your barrier is coping.

Step 2 – Double Cleanse
A thorough double cleanse removes make-up, SPF, excess oil and impurities. This prepares the skin for treatment without stripping it.

Step 3 – Exfoliation & Softening
A suitable exfoliating step is chosen from the CLINICARE range to help loosen dead cells and surface build-up. This may be an enzyme or gentle acid exfoliator designed for blemish-prone skin.

Step 4 – Extractions (If Appropriate)
Where suitable, light manual extractions may be carried out to remove blackheads or surface congestion. This is done carefully and only where the skin allows – the aim is to improve things, not to aggravate the area.

Step 5 – Purifying Mask & Targeted Serums
A clarifying mask is applied to help absorb excess oil and refine the appearance of pores, while soothing ingredients calm the skin. Targeted CLINICARE serums may be used to support hydration and balance without heaviness.

Step 6 – Finishing Products & SPF
The facial is completed with a lightweight moisturiser and protective SPF appropriate for blemish-prone skin, so you leave feeling fresh and comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions

This facial is designed to help improve the appearance of congestion and support blemish-prone skin, but it is not a medical treatment or cure. For more severe or persistent acne, you may need advice from your GP or dermatologist alongside in-clinic care.

Some temporary redness is possible, especially if extractions are carried out, but this usually settles fairly quickly. The products and techniques used are chosen to be effective yet respectful of your skin barrier.

Light, non-comedogenic make-up can usually be worn later the same day, although many clients prefer to allow their skin to breathe and simply enjoy the fresh feeling.

In many cases, yes – especially for younger skins starting to experience congestion. Consent and a suitable approach will always be discussed with a parent/guardian where appropriate.

You’ll be given simple, tailored advice – typically focusing on a gentle cleanser, non-comedogenic moisturiser, appropriate targeted product (where suitable) and daily SPF. Over-loading the skin with strong products is discouraged.
